Comparative Analysis: Lab Performance vs National Averages
Comparison data from peer-reviewed academic studies and national reports (2018-2024).
Methods and Definitions: All comparative metrics calculate outcomes for students who completed their programs (Alumni status only). This ensures fair comparison with national benchmarks, which typically report outcomes for completion cohorts.
Inclusion criteria: Students who graduated from the lab (degree awarded) during 2015-2025 (ISU period).
Exclusion criteria: Students currently in the program, visiting students, and students who transferred to other institutions before degree completion are excluded from comparative metrics but remain in the total student roster.
Graduate student completion: Only the 9 verified graduate students who earned degrees from the lab are included in graduate metrics (2 PhD, 7 MS).
